Mike Barlow trained with the European College of Bowen Studies (ECBS) (www.thebowentechnique.co.uk) and qualified in 2002. He is a member of the Bowen Therapists European Register (BTER) (www.bter.org) and is also registered on the NHS Directory of complementary therapies (www.nhsdirectory.org).
Since qualifying Mike has worked with clients of all ages including babies, children, the elderly and everything in between! He is also experienced at working with pregnant clients and the use of bowen in labour. As a father of two Mike is consequently well practised at treating babies and children and is able to tailor treatment around play and in a way that is non threatening to young clients.
Mike's background as a serious runner with a London Marathon personal best of 2hrs-48mins means he understands the dedication and commitment required to sport and the importance of remaining injury free. His passion for sport means he particular enjoys helping individuals recover from injury and also with general body maintenance to prevent injury. His experience with sports people is widespread and includes work with footballers, swimmers, runners, rugby players, ballet performers.
